The school has created elaborate basic facilities for the students which includes 40 well appointed, airy rooms equipped with separate two computer room, Music room and well stocked airy and specially designed play way room for the Pre-Nursery class. Spacious administrative Block which houses, apart from administrative wings, spacious Science laboratories separate for Chemistry, Physics and Biology Maths lab and socialstudies lab.
The school has its own fleet of transport. There is a well-organized transport facility in the school for easy and safe travel of the students. The Transport System is streamlined by efficient route planning by the Transport Supervisor who ensures smooth running of buses.
As its social responsibility, the school provides education facilities to the students from all social groups from far flung areas which transport buses play significant role.
We are a registered society under the “Registration of Societies Act” under the name and style, DOON VALLEY SOCIETY FOR EDUCATION AND CULTURE and its activities are controlled by a Governing Body headed by the Chairman.
The founder of Doon Valley Schoolare Mr. RM Ramaul and Mrs. Madhuri Ramaul who made an attempt to start this enterprise after their retirement from HP government service in 1995. His father Pt. Shiva Nand Ramaul who was the first freedom fighter of the state who had made social work as his mission since pre-independence era which culminated in him being honoured as the first freedom fighter of the state in 1968. The school is a symbol of his memory to carry forward his legacy of social service.
Mrs Madhuri, also the founder Principal of the school,with her forty years of experience in the field of education retired as the founder principal of Govt. Degree College paonta sahib in 1995. Her passion for teaching and Pt. Shivanand Ramaul’s mission of social service prompted them to start this school utilising the 4 acres of land which they owned.
This school from the day of its inception has never looked back and is moving forward with leaps and bounds.
